Married for 62 years, Onie and Trini Ortiz lived in Sacramento area for many years.

Reverend Onie Ortiz was an Air Force Chaplain and traveled extensively through Scotland, Germany, Panama and Central America countries, Mexico, and South America (Columbia and Peru). They brought back artifacts that decorated their home He was also very involved in photography and documenting his travels resulting in amazing slides of wonderful scenery and historic locations. He was also an avid BeeKeeper and horticulturist.

After retiring from the Air Force, Reverend Ortiz served as Chaplain for the Sacramento Jail and a local minister to the Hispanic community. He collected a large supply of tracts, bibles and other ministry resources, filling bookcases throughout his home.

Mrs. Ortiz was a teacher for 42 years. She taught all grades, Kindergarten to College, elementary education along with Special Education in the Folsom-Cordova Unified School District. She also taught music to children and in college. She collected creative lessons, games, and books for teachers. She also has music books for children and piano and violin sheet music and music books. She enjoyed playing her Peruvian harp, piano, autoharp, and accordion.

Mrs Ortiz loved to craft and sew and was an avid collector of Norman Rockwell collectible plates and other artists.
